Late last fall, I finally decided to sell my home.  I was very intimidated to do this because it needed lots of work, and I didn't know how to even start the process.  That's when I met Dorann.  She turned this very stressful project into a dream.  She took over the whole project of the repairs completely.  Within two weeks, the house looked completely new.  She hired and supervised all the contractors to update everything.  The interior was completely repainted, new carpet laid, both bathrooms remodeled, basement water problems repaired, updated the kitchen along with many other updates.  

Besides all of this, she hired people to do all the needed yard work.  Dorann was a lifesaver!  Between her and my realtor, my home sold on the first day at higher than the asking price!  If you are looking to make your home ready for sale without the stress, Dorann is the person you are looking for.  You won't be disappointed.

I live in Southern California.  My sister lived in Madison.  When my sister died, she left her house in Madison to myself and my siblings.  We wanted to get the house fixed up and sold as quickly as possible.  My real estate agent suggested Dorann Bradford to help fix up the house and get it move-in ready.  The big word for me is trust. Dorann sent photos and videos during construction.  She did a good job of keeping me/us informed.  If one of my siblings had a question, she got it answered.  The house needed a lot of work.  We talked about my vision for the home, my real estate agent’s ideas, and ideas Dorann suggested based on her experience.  We agreed that the work needed to add value to the sale price.  There were a couple of things I wanted done just because they annoyed me (and I didn’t want the next homeowner to have to worry about).  It was a team effort. I was in the owner’s box watching the game.  Dorann was quarterback on the field making sure everything was done properly.  The end result left me, my surviving siblings, and friends of my sister in Madison, feeling very happy.  It was a visual transformation.  The home looked so wonderful, interior and exterior.  It felt like a home, like a place where we’d want to live.  I’m sure the new homeowner is very happy.

We took a listing last fall that was going to be a challenge.  The elderly owners were put into a nursing home thinking they would rehabilitate and return to their home of over 30 years.  After several months they were told they could not leave the nursing home.  We were given the keys and walked into a home that had been neglected and filled with clutter (Mrs. shopped online excessively).  We knew we’d need help.  We called Dorann and asked if she’d be willing to take on this daunting task, given the state of the home and the fact that Mrs. Seller was reluctant to part with her lifelong “treasures”, as well as continuing to have packages delivered.  Dorann agreed to meet us at the house.  When we walked in, she didn’t even blink!  She said she had seen much worse and could absolutely handle the job. 

We immediately went to the nursing home so we could introduce her to Mrs. Seller and convince her that Dorann’s services were needed in order to sell their home for the best price possible.  Dorann was able to connect with Mrs. Seller within minutes (not an easy task).   After an hour of chatting, Dorann was hired! 

Dorann and her team started working the next day.  The landscapers had the curb appeal looking great the very first day.  Declutter, Dump and Design worked on cleaning and decluttering.  After many garage sales and selling items online, it was time for the rest of her team to tackle the painting, flooring and outdated kitchen.  The results were remarkable!

Dorann handled all the staging and the house was so beautiful that we were able sell it for over $100,000 more than we had initially projected!

Dorann’s patience with the Sellers was commendable.  She visited with them throughout the process to keep them abreast of the progress she was making.  Mrs. Seller was often not cooperative, but Dorann always treated her with kindness and respect.

In the end everyone was happy with the outcome.
